An eclectic trailblazer, Lady Smith carries both a prophetic mantle and an apostolic mandate, called by God to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through demonstration, power, and uncompromising truth. As a highly sought-after conference and keynote speaker, she delivers prophetic messages through a nontraditional yet Spirit-led approach that resonates across generations. Her ministry reflects her lived testimony—captured in her signature declaration:

Lady Melissa Smith is humbled and honored to serve and submit under the leadership of her husband, Bishop Dreyfus C. Smith, Senior Pastor and Founder of Wings of Faith Worldwide Ministries in Conley, Georgia.

United in holy matrimony on June 19, 2021, they labor together to empower, equip, and encourage lives across the globe through ministry. Despite her many accomplishments, Lady Smith considers her greatest earthly reward to be motherhood. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children: Cornelius, Dajia, Angel, and Diamond.

In 2006, after enduring many personal trials, God entrusted Lady Melissa with the vision to establish an outreach ministry formerly known as Melissa Williams Ministry (MWM), alongside Daughters of Destiny, Inc. Driven by her passion for evangelism and community transformation, she has served countless communities through impactful initiatives including quality education, mentorship programs, Help One Feed One, annual toy drives, single-parent childcare assistance, financial literacy training, GED preparation, and multiple youth empowerment programs.

Under her leadership, thousands of school supplies have been distributed, and lives have been tangibly impacted—hands-on ministry that ultimately led to the opening of The Empowerment Centers in 2012. Her work as a philanthropist, trailblazer, and advocate for women has earned her numerous awards and honors, including the 2025 Woman of Color Award presented by the National Black Women’s Association.

Lady Melissa Smith is also the founder of Purposeful Connections Counseling & Coaching, LLC, where she provides faith-centered counseling and coaching for women in areas of personal development, emotional healing, leadership training, and one-on-one transformational support.

As a best-selling author, her literary works include Doubt…And After This, 10 Tips, The Comeback (co-author), and her 2021 best-seller, HER: I’m Still Standing — The Chronicles. She has also been honored to write forewords for numerous gifted authors.

Above all, Lady Melissa Smith is a living testimony of God’s healing power. In April 2020, she was diagnosed with cancer and Graves’ disease. By the grace of God, she stands healed and restored, celebrating five years cancer-free in November 2025. Her life continues to proclaim victory, and she gives all praise and glory to her Lord and Savior—fueling her unwavering commitment to winning souls for Christ.

Lady Gwen Edwards

Empowerment Word Church| Alabaster, Al

Co-Founder/Co-Pastor (Church Administrator) of Empowerment Word Church. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL. The youngest of three and the only girl. Lady Gwen has served in several capacities in the local church for many years under the leadership and guidance of Senior Pastor Dr. Michael Moore, of Faith Chapel Christian Center. Her journey began as early as a preteen searching for more out of life and wanting to experience the fullness of God. She was introduced to church by a friend and classmate in middle school, which led to a wonderful relationship with God.

It was January 1988, during high school where she met a handsome young man, who was a transfer student from A.H. Parker High School. Little did she know, (but, God Knew) he would be her forever love!! She married her high school sweetheart of 29 years and have three amazing young adult children, Sean Emory, Silas and Starla.

In 2013, Pastor Sean and Lady Gwen began holding a Bible Study, which lasted only a year, until God spoke again regarding leading a church.

In 2014, after much prayer and counsel from mentors and close friends, God birthed a vision and desire to plant a new church in the Shelby County area. Lady Gwen is passionate about seeing people living fulfilled lives that are pleasing to God and believes the local church is the hope of the world. She believes through the local church; people can be empowered with the word of God and in response promote the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In 2015, Lady Gwen started a Life Group “Strong Bonds” with a focus on living with the one you love. Today, we need a safe place to be open and vulnerable without judgement to create a strong lasting love.

We can win in marriage, if we apply the principles.

In January 2019, Lady Gwen started another Life Group “F.L.Y. Girl” (Female’s Love Yourself).

This group was birthed out of a need that was personal and dear to Lady Gwen’s heart. So many women, need to know, You’re enough! You matter! There are so many women who suffer with low self-esteem and are embarrassed to talk about it. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Be who God created you to be. Be FREE! Be YOU! Be FLY!

In 2020, this was the year that changed everything for Lady Gwen. Focus. Insurrection. Covid 19. Breast Cancer. BUT GOD!! Lady Gwen is a Breast Cancer Survivor! There is NOTHING too hard for her God!

Lady Gwen is excited to serve in ministry alongside Pastor Sean, in their spare time, they enjoy traveling, spending time together, visiting friends and catching a good movie.

Lady Angela Wilder

Angela Wilder is a former retail banking officer and branch manager.

Her extensive background and wisdom in finance has caused her to be sought out by ministries, churches and individual Christians who want to win in their finances.

Angela is a graduate of Faulkner University with a degree in business administration. She is a licensed minister and the executive administrator of Covenant Church International.

She is founder and director of God’s Lovely Ladies, a ministry designed to provide mentoring and life coaching to help women discover their unique purpose and to help them achieve complete wholeness in every area of their lives.

A native of Birmingham, Angela is married to Rev. P. Ronald Wilder, senior pastor of Covenant Church International and mother to Nathan Wilder.
